Our History - SafeHaven
SafeHaven Trauma Centre was founded at the beginning of 2015 by Charlotte Copeland, a psychotherapist who has worked for many years in critical care and oncology within the NHS, as well as specialising in psychological trauma in private practice.
Charlotte’s vision was to provide a central location where outstanding clinicians, providing both established practices and the latest advances in trauma recovery, could be easily accessed by those in need.
The ethos of the Centre is to ensure people are supported in a safe, caring and compassionate environment; where treatment is personalised for their situation and needs.
The Centre is committed to education on mental health and trauma awareness, through its work with organisations and the Critical Incident service, as well as driving forward with ongoing research in to mind-body health and psychological trauma.
